I’ve seen three different covers for Kingdom of Exiles. Which one should I get?
That depends! From left to right, the covers go:
Young adult edition — Start with this book if you’re new to the series and love YA fantasy.
Adult, mass market edition — If you want a steamier love story between Noc and Leena, go with this edition. (Plot and characters are the same, but different content for the romantic scenes.)
eBook edition — This is the eBook edition for Kingdom of Exiles through Amazon. It has the same content as the adult mass market edition. At this time, we don’t have an eBook through Amazon for the young adult edition, though we’re exploring the possibility.
If I read the adult version of kingdom of exiles, do i need to read the young adult version to be prepared for the next book?
Nope! The plot and characters for Kingdom of Exiles is the same, regardless of the version. Which means, when you’re ready for The Frozen Prince, book two in the series, you can dive right in! Just expect the explicit content to be dialed down if you’re coming from the mass market version to the young adult version.
How many books are in the series?
There are three books in the Beast Charmer series and one book in the off-shoot series, Guild of Night.
What happened to Prince of Shadows?
Prince of Shadows was slated to be the mass market adult edition of The Frozen Prince. While the series is moving forward with the young adult edition, the plot and characters from Prince of Shadows would’ve been the same as what’s present in The Frozen Prince. For readers who were looking forward to the adult content it would’ve provided, just be sure to sign up for my newsletter!
